Notice: Net Metering Capacity Fully Subscribed
Lewis County Rural Electric Cooperative (Lewis County REC) has reached its statutory net metering capacity cap. Based on its prior-year single-hour peak load, the 5% cap for Lewis County REC is 1,503 kW, and the current net-metered capacity approved for their system is 1,503 kW.
Under Missouri’s Net Metering and Easy Connection Act (Mo. Rev. Stat. §386.890.3(1)), retail electric suppliers must offer net metering on a first-come, first-served basis until the total rated capacity of net-metered systems equals five percent (5%) of the supplier’s prior-year single-hour peak load. Having reached this cap, Lewis County REC is no longer obligated to approve additional net metering interconnection agreements.
